[DPS] 2Z88 - 1735 Truro to Exeter St Davids
Introduction
- Route: Cornish Main Line
- Traction: Class 158 DMU - Great Western Railway
- Year: 2018
- Duration: 75 Minutes Approx
Description
This evening you are in charge of a Great Western Railway service from Truro to Exeter St Davids using a Class 158 and Class 150/2 DMU in multiple formation. This is due to severe disruption earlier in the afternoon where two late running inbound services to Penzance were terminated at Truro and will now start the return journey from there as one service.
Briefing
Starting at Truro, first release the doors to allow passengers to board before awaiting your departure time of 17:35. You will then call at St Austell, Par, Lostwithiel, Bodmin Parkway, Liskeard, St Germans, Saltash and finally Plymouth where another driver will take over.
Notes
This scenario has only been tested on the Steam version of the Cornish Main Line route although it should work fine if you have bought the route directly from Just Trains.
At the start of the scenario the crossing gates at Truro are open. To make sure they are closed ready for departure, the method I use is to creep forward as soon as the scenario starts before stopping and opening the doors. It's entirely up to you how you choose to do it.
The Cornish Main Line by it's very nature is a fairly quiet route and you should therefore not expect to see busy traffic. This and other scenarios I have created for this route are merely a way of driving different traction on real timetabled services and in this case provides a great opportunity to drive this passenger service in challenging conditions.

The vast majority of downloadable content on this site comes in the form of a compressed file and will need to be unpacked with an archiving program, we recommend 7-Zip which is completely free and can be downloaded from here.
All scenarios at DPSimulation are fully tested before release and will generally work fine. Due to the complex nature of Train Simulator and the fact that none of of us have the same installation, problems can occur. Also note that over time some of the listed requirements may be discontinued by their respective authors.
