CCTV Appeal After Violent Assault on Shenfield Bound Elizabeth Line Train

Detectives have issued CCTV images as part of an investigation into a serious assault on board an Elizabeth Line service travelling towards Shenfield.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.15am on Thursday 1 January, when a man was attacked by two other men while on the train. During the assault, the victim was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head as he lay on the floor.

Police say the two suspects then forced the man off the train at Seven Kings station before remaining on board and later disembarking at Shenfield station.

As a result of the attack, the victim suffered significant bruising to his head as well as a fractured hand.

Officers believe the men shown in the released images may hold information that could assist with the ongoing investigation and are urging anyone who recognises them to make contact.
