Police have been alerted after a man dressed as a duck carried out what has been described as an unacceptable stunt on board a Glasgow Subway train, pouring cereal and milk over himself while filming the incident.

Footage shared on TikTok shows the man, who had painted himself yellow and was wearing a beak, moving along the carriage on his knees before shouting out a phrase and tipping cereal and milk over his head. The liquid can be seen spilling onto the floor and seats, while passengers remain seated in the background, seemingly unaware of what is happening behind them.

After covering himself and the carriage in the breakfast items, the man is heard shouting again before standing up and leaving the train. The clip quickly attracted attention online, with viewers commenting on the confusion caused by the stunt and sharing details of the mess left behind.

Reaction on social media was largely critical, with some users calling for the individual to be fined or banned from the transport network. Others questioned why the act had been allowed to take place in a confined public space used by commuters.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport has condemned the incident, describing it as vandalism and confirming it has been reported to British Transport Police. The operator said the stunt had operational consequences as well as impacting passengers.

An SPT spokesperson said:

“Behaviour such as this is clearly unacceptable and will not be tolerated. It causes delays in the Subway service as we need to remove the train from the system for clean-up and negatively impacts passengers travelling with us. The incident has been reported to British Transport Police.”
