Police Appeal After Man Knocked Onto Tracks in Partick Station Assault
Police are seeking the victim and witnesses following a serious assault at Partick railway station late on Monday, December 15. Officers say the incident took place at around 10.30pm on the station platform.
According to police, a man was repeatedly punched in the head before being knocked onto the tracks. Members of the public intervened, helping him back onto the platform. The man then boarded the 11.05pm service towards Dalmuir, leaving the train at a later point.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at Partick railway station in connection with the incident. He has since been charged with assault, two counts of assaulting a police officer, possession of a bladed article, breach of bail, and culpable and reckless conduct.
Investigators are now urging the man who was assaulted to make contact, along with anyone who witnessed the incident or assisted the victim at the station. Police believe their accounts could be crucial to progressing the inquiry.
