Vintage food trucks delight Cambridge passengers
09th November 2018
Hungry passengers at Cambridge station now have an all new choice of catering thanks to three food trucks that are now located at the station. Parked on the station square outside the Old Ticket Office pub, the trucks offer fresh coffee, hot dogs and Turkish cuisine.
Coffeelink, based in the red van offers fresh coffee and snacks. Flavour Station, operating from the black and gold van offers freshly made Kumpir, a variation of a Turkish jacket potato along with a variety of salads, sandwiches and hot drinks. Saucisse Mon Amour, operating from the yellow van specialises in baguettes, French hot dogs and pulled meats.
These new additions follow the hugely successful opening of a brand new pub and restaurant The Old Ticket Office, which is also located in station square. Designed to have a railway theme, visitors can enjoy the bright heritage railway colours, dining booths with seating in the style of vintage train carriages and railway memorabilia.
Simone Bailey, Greater Anglia’s Asset Management Director, said: “Cambridge is the busiest station on our network and the new food trucks are providing popular with customers throughout the day.
“We are very pleased to welcome Coffeelink, Flavour Station and Saucisse Mon Amour to Cambridge station, together they bring a great variety of food to the thousands of people who use the station every day.
