The Romantic Garden Stuff pack for The Sims 4 was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, released in 2016. It is a smaller stuff pack that requires the base game and was designed to add romantic, garden-focused décor and interactions to support courting, family moments and picturesque outdoor builds.

The DLC introduces Victorian-inspired garden pieces such as ivy-wrapped arches, moss-covered statues, decorative flowers and a grand water fountain, plus the Wishing Well object that can grant unexpected outcomes for Sims who toss in a coin. It also adds a set of modern floral fashions and hairstyles, playful fountain interactions including splashing and soap bubbles, and several build/buy items aimed at creating intimate garden spaces for storytelling and roleplay.

Promotion for the Romantic Garden Stuff pack used Electronic Arts’ and The Sims Studio’s usual marketing channels, including the game’s store presence, social media announcements and short showcase materials that highlighted the Wishing Well, fountain interactions and the decorative assets. Community creators and livestreams were used to demonstrate garden builds, romantic scenarios and how the new objects could be used in family and party settings.

Reception was mixed, with some players praising the aesthetic focus, the charming garden pieces and the whimsical Wishing Well for generating fun roleplay moments, while others found the pack lightweight and limited in mechanical depth compared with larger expansions. Overall the pack appealed to players who enjoy decorative additions, themed builds and cozy storytelling rather than those seeking substantive new gameplay systems.
