The Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator was developed and published by SCS Software, releasing in December 2025. It continues the expansion of the game's map across the United States and is available on the same platforms as the base game, including Windows, macOS, and Linux/SteamOS. No separate console ports exist, consistent with other American Truck Simulator content.

As a map expansion, the Louisiana DLC introduces the state of Louisiana with its subtropical environment, bayous, river networks and characteristic low-lying landscapes. Players can visit major cities including New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport, along with smaller communities, industrial hubs and rural regions. The DLC brings new industries such as timber, ports, shipyards, oil and gas facilities, along with unique depots and cargo types. Roads include coastal highways, swamp routes and large bridge crossings that reflect the geography of the state.

Promotion leading up to launch included a steady stream of developer blog posts showcasing work-in-progress areas, industries, rest stops, road networks and landmarks. A trailer was released prior to launch highlighting the scenery and road network. The release was paired with an in-game World of Trucks event called Cruising Louisiana, encouraging players to complete deliveries across the new map and explore newly added locations.

Early reception has been broadly favourable. Initial player feedback from Steam reviews and community forums places the DLC in a positive light, with many praising the setting and finally seeing the Deep South represented in the game. Players have highlighted the atmosphere, detailed cities and natural scenery as standout features. A few discussions noted the absence of a new bundle including Louisiana, though this was a minor point compared to general enthusiasm for the new content.
