Car Factory Empire was developed and published by RDS Games and launched into Early Access on PC on 3rd November 2025. The Steam Early Access build targets Windows players and lists Windows system requirements; there were no confirmed console or mobile ports at the time of the Early Access release. The studio presented Early Access as the principal development phase, inviting players to join the game while it expanded toward a full release.

The game combines factory-management simulation, global strategy and racing elements into a single package. Players found and grow an automaker, research a broad technology tree, design car bodies and components, and manage production lines and supply chains. A standout design choice ties factory output directly to on-track performance by allowing players to field the cars they create in AI-driven races, so engineering, production decisions and logistics all feed into reputation and market success.

Promotion for Car Factory Empire concentrated on the Steam Early Access announcement and developer updates on the product page. RDS Games used the storefront to outline feature highlights, post a public roadmap and publish patch notes, relying primarily on community channels and update posts rather than a large external marketing campaign. Early messaging emphasised iterative development and encouraged player feedback to shape priorities and gameplay balance.

During Early Access the developer communicated frequently about fixes and roadmap priorities, asking the community for reports on AI, interface, balancing and stability. Patch notes and advisory posts addressed technical issues that surfaced after launch, signalling an active support approach aimed at improving performance and polish over time. The studio framed many early changes as community-driven adjustments rather than unilateral design shifts.

Reception so far has been mixed: players often praise the ambition of blending production simulation with racing and global strategy, and many appreciate the creative potential of designing and racing custom vehicles. Criticisms have tended to focus on technical issues, stability and the need for additional content and UI refinement. The game’s longer-term standing will depend on how effectively RDS Games iterates during Early Access and delivers the promised expansions and polish outlined in its roadmap.
