The Mercedes‑Benz Remastered DLC for Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 was developed by Polish studio Red Dot Games and published by PlayWay S.A. It launched on January 26, 2023. The base game Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 originally released in August 2021 and is available on PC (Windows) and later on console platforms.

In terms of content, the DLC adds five officially licensed Mercedes‑Benz vehicles — the 300 SL Gullwing (W198), the 280 SL Pagoda (W113), the 500E (W124), the 560 SEC (W126), and the SLS AMG (C197). Alongside those, it includes five matching Mercedes‑Benz engines: the inline‑6 M130, the inline‑6 M186, and V8 options including the M117, M119 and M159. The base simulation game tasks players with running a garage: buying used cars, diagnosing faults, disassembling and rebuilding engines, tuning and painting cars, road‑testing them and selling the finished vehicles.

Promotion of the Mercedes‑Benz Remastered DLC included store front announcements through the game’s digital storefront and community pages. It was positioned as part of the “Remastered” series of brand‑specific DLC packs within the Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 ecosystem, capitalising on the prestige of the Mercedes‑Benz marque and the detailed mechanical work that the game offers. It was included alongside bundles of multiple DLCs so that players expanding their garage content could easily pick up the new pack.

Reception for the DLC was positive overall: user review statistics referenced about 45 reviews with roughly 86% positive feedback, indicating a good reception from the player base for its execution and value. Players appreciated the high‑quality licensed cars and new engine options, and while some felt the scope was modest compared to larger expansions, the pack was generally regarded as a welcomed addition for fans of the simulation who enjoy collecting more vehicles and performing detailed mechanical work.
