Euro Truck Simulator 2: DAF XD

The DAF XD add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2 was developed and published by SCS Software and released in November 2023. This DLC introduced the next-generation DAF XD truck, designed for regional and urban distribution. Built on the same platform as the larger DAF XG and XF models, the XD is tailored for high visibility, efficiency, and safety—qualities that are faithfully recreated in ETS2 through a combination of realistic design, advanced features, and smooth handling characteristics suited for short- to medium-haul driving.

The add-on features an expertly crafted 3D model of the DAF XD, including its distinctive aerodynamic front, large windscreen, and spacious cab with a lower seating position for improved road awareness. Inside, players will find a well-appointed interior with modern instrument clusters, high-resolution digital displays, and intuitive controls. The DLC also integrates smart gameplay features such as digital mirrors (DAF Digital Vision System), advanced braking systems, and comfortable suspension behavior, offering a comprehensive experience of operating one of Europe’s most modern trucks.

Customization plays a major role in the DAF XD add-on. Players can choose between several cab variants, axle configurations, and engine options tailored for distribution logistics. A rich selection of paint jobs, accessories, light bars, and mudguards allow for complete external personalization. Inside the cabin, players can tweak steering wheels, dashboard details, seat materials, and ambient lighting. The DAF XD add-on was unveiled in partnership with DAF Trucks and was promoted via SCS Software’s official blog, social media campaigns, and gameplay trailers.
