Euro Truck Simulator 2: Nordic Horizons

The Nordic Horizons DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 was developed and published by SCS Software. It was released on 27 November 2025, and requires ownership of the base game to access. The base game itself runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and the DLC continues that cross‑platform support.

The DLC expands the game map to cover northern Europe — specifically northern Scandinavia including parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland. In promotion for the DLC, SCS Software released developer diaries, map previews and a gameplay video that showcased the dramatic northern landscape, the variety of roads, cities and industries, and realistic environmental features such as Northern Lights and daylight cycles adjusted for northern latitudes. The marketing emphasised the scope and scale of the expansion — calling it a “massive” or “HUGE adventure” — and encouraged fans to explore the far reaches of northern Europe, offering fresh challenges and scenic routes.

Reception among players has been strongly positive. Reviews on the store indicate a “Very Positive” consensus, with many players praising the detail of the environments, the breadth of the map expansion and the new variety in trucking routes and industries.
