The Summer Camp DLC for Firefighting Simulator: Ignite - Summer Camp was developed by weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung GmbH and published by astragon Entertainment. It released on 16 October 2025 and adds a fresh setting to the base game by introducing Camp Woodchuck, a long-standing summer camp nestled near Oakridge City. The story underlines that the camp, cherished since 1921, is facing a serious fire, prompting the local fire department to step in and safeguard this beloved institution.

Within the DLC players gain access to the new Camp Woodchuck environment along with two dedicated missions focused on both rescue and firefighting at the camp grounds. The scenarios involve tackling fires in the cabins and lodge, protecting the surrounding forest, and coordinating emergency responses in a dynamic setting that blends woodland terrain with built structures. The expansion provides a different flavour compared to urban or industrial fires, exploring a recreational and natural environment for the firefighting experience.

Promotion for the Summer Camp DLC followed astragon’s typical model: announcements on the official website and social media, with emphasis on its status as the first piece of additional content in the game's Year 1 Season Pass. The messaging highlighted the new environment, two new missions, and how the add-on expands the gameplay beyond the base urban firefighting simulation. Pre-launch materials described it as an opportunity to “save a city landmark and beloved institution” to draw in players interested in narrative-driven mission adds.

Reception among the community was cautiously positive. While not yet many user reviews were available at launch, early commentary appreciated the change of scenery and the camp setting as a refreshing alternative to prior environments. Players noted that the new missions provided solid gameplay additions and valued the recognition of the camp’s legacy within the game’s universe. Some feedback indicated hopes for more missions or assets tied to the setting in future updates, but overall the DLC was regarded as a meaningful step in broadening the game’s mission variety and environment diversity.
