Hammersmith & Circle Drivers Eye View

This production offers a complete driver’s eye perspective of London Underground’s Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, filmed from the cab of modern S stock trains. The journey begins on the Circle line at Hammersmith, running via Paddington, Liverpool Street, Victoria, and High Street Kensington before completing the loop at Edgware Road. Using high-definition cameras mounted in the cab and at key stations, viewers get a clear and immersive view of what drivers experience on the world’s first underground railway. Subtle lighting enhancements provide an authentic representation of tunnel conditions, while the overground sections benefit from bright, sunny weather filming.

After completing the Circle line circuit, the programme shifts focus to the Hammersmith & City line. Boarding at Liverpool Street, the train travels east through Mile End and West Ham to Barking, showing both underground and overground sections along the way. The line surfaces at Bow Road, running alongside the c2c tracks toward Fenchurch Street before continuing to Barking. Once passengers disembark, the train proceeds to the stabling sidings to reverse, providing viewers a unique look at operational procedures behind the scenes.
