Hotel Sim is developed and published by Steth Games. It was released on September 17, 2025. The platform is PC, via Steam. At launch it was made available under Early Access status, meaning the game is in development and is expected to evolve over time.

The game is a hotel management simulation with a light-twist of chaos. Players start off with a small, rundown motel and gradually upgrade, furnish, and expand toward becoming a 5-star empire. Core gameplay includes building and customizing rooms, managing guest satisfaction through services and amenities, dealing with unpredictable events like fires or troublesome guests, balancing reputation (stars), and handling both the mundane and bizarre. There are guest types: some more demanding, others less so, and the hotel rating system directly affects which guests will show up and how profitable operations are.

There are no clearly documented prequels; Hotel Sim seems to be a new IP by Steth Games rather than a continuation of an earlier hotel management series. As such, the design appears to draw on genre conventions—hotel / motel tycoon games—but adds its own flair via quirky events, guest behaviours, and fully customizable rooms. Because it is Early Access, the developer has noted plans to expand content, including reaching up to 5 stars, adding more equipment, more events, and more varied guest types and challenges.

Promotion for Hotel Sim has involved announcing its Early Access release, showing off trailers and screenshots emphasizing both the relaxing and chaotic elements, and highlighting customization. The developer is soliciting feedback through Steam’s community tools to help shape the game as it progresses. Since launch, user responses are limited: there are no substantial review counts yet. Early impressions are mixed in the sense that many players like the concept, art style, and fun of managing room layouts and unpredictable guest behaviour, but some are cautious about how complete and stable the experience is in its current state.
