Just Flight are proud to present the Tornado GR1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024.

Following on from the award-winning Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer, this highly detailed simulation of the Tornado GR1 is based on one of the most distinguished aircraft to have served with the Royal Air Force – ZA465 'Foxy Killer'. Having flown the most sorties of any of the Tornado fleet in the Gulf War, it was then assigned to the famous 617 'Dambusters' squadron before being preserved for posterity by the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Already a very popular aircraft on other platforms, the Just Flight Tornado GR1 for MSFS is being modelled to an exceptional level of detail and features 8K cockpit and exterior textures, with over 20 paint schemes covering RAF, Saudi, German and Italian Air Forces. Payloads include the JP233, AIM-9L/M, BOZ-107/Skyshadow ECM and drop-tanks, reflecting the versatility of the GR1, along with custom ground equipment. Both the Pilot and Navigator positions are fully modelled and the aircraft features a truly 3D virtual cockpit with smoothly animated 3D instruments and fully functioning custom-coded systems and avionics.

The Tornado GR1 is a tandem (twin seat) multi-role combat aircraft. Its primary role is high speed, low level ground attack, but it is also capable of long range, high altitude interception and ground attack. It can carry out these roles in any weather using a wide range of weapons, external stores and sensors, including a terrain following radar. The Tornado is fitted with cantilever shoulder wings with variable sweepback between 25° and 67°. Forward wing sweep provides take-off and landing capabilities at low speeds. For all other stages of flight the wings are manually swept in accordance with the desired Mach number and mission phase, thus providing the aircraft with a highly versatile operating envelope.
