Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack

Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack is a downloadable content (DLC) expansion developed and published by Frontier Developments. Released on June 21, 2022, for the PC version of Planet Zoo, this pack introduced five endangered species, over 150 new scenery pieces, and a new timed scenario. It was later included in the Planet Zoo: Arctic & Conservation Bundle, released on December 3, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, bringing the content to console players for the first time. The Conservation Pack was part of a series of themed expansions that enriched the game's content and appeal to a broad audience.

The Conservation Pack adds five new species to the game: the Przewalski's horse, Amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl. Each species comes with unique habitat and social needs, challenging players to design suitable environments that mimic the diverse ecosystems of these endangered animals. In addition to the new animals, the pack includes over 150 new scenery pieces inspired by themes of re-wilding and natural resource management. Players can create havens of wild meadow plants and food plots with appealing new scenery pieces and construct stunning habitats and buildings from environmentally friendly materials. The new timed scenario, set in Mongolia's Turtle Rock Wildlife Orphanage, tasks players with rescuing animals in need and providing them with a permanent sanctuary.

The Conservation Pack was well-received by the Planet Zoo community and critics alike, praised for its attention to detail and the depth it added to the game's simulation.
