PowerWash Simulator 2 was developed and published by FuturLab and released on 23 October 2025 for PC via Steam. The Steam release included a playable demo alongside the full game and presented the title as the next major entry in the PowerWash Simulator series with larger-scale jobs and expanded mechanics.

The game’s core description centres on a bigger campaign set in Caldera County with grime-heavy locales such as Sponge Valley, Power Falls and Lubri City, multi-stage cleaning jobs that span interconnected areas, and a broader set of equipment including an abseiling rig, cherry picker and large-area surface cleaners designed to handle industrial- and urban-scale tasks. Progression adds collectible furniture and trinkets to personalise a home base and rewards players for completing multi-part contracts.

At launch the PC Steam release was the primary platform offering, with a demo available to let players sample mechanics before buying; no additional console ports were released at launch. The developer communicated a roadmap indicating ongoing support, a mix of free job drops and paid DLC, and plans for post-launch updates to expand content and quality-of-life features.

Promotion for PowerWash Simulator 2 leaned on cinematic trailers, polished store-page visuals and curated screenshots that highlighted new environments, the extended toolset and the satisfying cleaning loop familiar to series fans. FuturLab amplified visibility through developer posts outlining the roadmap and by seeding early access and review copies to community creators and streamers who showcased co-op, split-screen and campaign gameplay in previews and launch streams.

Reception at release was broadly positive, with players praising the increased scale of locations, the tactile improvements to cleaning mechanics and the addition of cooperative play modes. Community feedback also flagged areas for refinement, prompting the developer to prioritise patches and quality-of-life updates, while the overall response suggested strong support from fans of the original game and newcomers attracted by the expanded scope.
