The expansion is inspired by significant industrial hubs and projects of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Players can engage in three fully voiced scenarios: “Industrial Miracle” set in the Ruhr Valley of Germany starting in 1869, “La Dame de Fer” in Île-de-France, France, beginning in 1880, and “Concrete Giant” in the Lower Colorado Basin of the United States, commencing in 1910. Each scenario presents unique challenges related to the construction of iconic structures such as the Eiffel Tower and the Hoover Dam. The DLC introduces high-resolution maps of these regions, enhancing the immersive experience.

Gameplay features include the introduction of three powerful locomotives, including the iconic “Big Boy” and “Heavy Mikado,” designed for heavy-duty hauling. A more complex production system is implemented, allowing players to establish their own production sites and manage a greater variety of factory inputs and outputs.
