The Bowling Night Stuff pack for The Sims 4 was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, released in 2017. It is a smaller stuff pack that requires the base game and was designed to add a themed social venue and object-driven gameplay rather than major systems.

The DLC introduces a fully functional bowling lane object that lets Sims play matches, practice with bumpers and unlock trick shots, plus neon-lit decor, retro-modern furniture, and a bar to create a dedicated bowling hangout or to place lanes in homes. It also adds rockabilly and bowling-themed fashions and hairstyles, ambient lighting options for moonlight bowling, and build/buy assets to support themed party and hangout scenarios.

Promotion for Bowling Night Stuff used EA’s and Maxis’ standard channels, including the game’s store listing, trailers and social media posts that showcased gameplay of the bowling lane, trick shots and venue-building possibilities; community creators and livestreams demonstrated how to set up alleys and host bowling nights to highlight the pack’s social and decorative potential. Marketing framed the pack as a fun, nostalgic addition aimed at players who enjoy venue-based roleplay and themed builds.

Reception was generally positive among players who appreciated the charm of the bowling lane, the novelty of trick shots and the retro aesthetic for creating hangouts, while some reviewers and users described the pack as lightweight and focused—valuable for social storytelling and decoration but not a deep mechanical expansion. Overall it became a popular pick for players wanting a themed social activity and new decorative options for community and household play.
