The Laundry Day Stuff pack for The Sims 4 was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, released in 2018. It is a smaller stuff pack that requires the base game and was designed to add domestic, country‑inspired laundry gameplay and decorative assets that deepen everyday household routines without introducing large new life systems.

The DLC introduces functioning washers and dryers with upgradeable parts, a washtub for hand‑washing clothes, a clothing line for outdoor drying and washboard interactions that let Sims clean garments and care for fabrics. It also adds rustic, country‑style build/buy items such as wicker furniture, wooden tables, floral rugs and decorative baskets, plus casual country clothing and simple hairstyles to match the pack’s aesthetic.

Promotion for Laundry Day Stuff followed Electronic Arts’ and Maxis’ standard channels, including the game’s store listing, social media announcements and short showcase materials that highlighted the new laundry interactions and rustic décor. Community creators and livestreams were used to demonstrate household workflows, laundry chores and themed room builds to show how the pack integrates into family storytelling and homestead-style play.

Reception among players was mixed, with praise from many for adding charming, domestic interactions and a neat, cohesive country aesthetic that helped flesh out everyday life simulation, while some players felt the pack’s scope was limited and its gameplay additions relatively shallow compared with larger expansions. Overall the pack appealed most to players who enjoy roleplaying home routines, themed builds and small, practical gameplay features.
