The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, released on August 24, 2017. It is a smaller stuff pack that requires the base game and was positioned to expand content for the toddler life stage by offering themed clothing, toys and play-focused objects for young Sims.

The pack introduces a collection of colorful toddler outfits and hairstyles, playground objects such as slides, tunnels and a ball pit, a puppet theatre for imaginative play and new decorative items for creating kid-friendly bedrooms and outdoor play spaces. Gameplay centers on object-driven interactions that let toddlers burn energy, practice social skills during play dates and engage in imaginative scenarios rather than adding new life systems or major mechanics.

Promotion for Toddler Stuff used Electronic Arts’ and Maxis’ usual channels, including the game’s store listing, social media announcements and short showcase materials highlighting the new toys, play interactions and toddler fashions; community creators and livestreams were used to demonstrate playground builds, play‑date setups and how the pack’s items fit into family storytelling. Marketing framed the pack as a family-oriented update that enhances children’s play and room design options.

Reception among players was generally mixed to positive, with many praising the pack for filling a content gap in toddler-focused items, the charm of the interactive playground objects and the new options for family storytelling, while some players criticised the limited scope and lack of deeper systems compared with larger expansions. Overall the pack appealed most to players who value decorative variety and child-centric roleplay.
