Ella Eyre Joins LNER’s Routes Podcast for a Journey Through Music, Memories and Travel

Award-winning singer-songwriter Ella Eyre is the latest guest to step onboard the Routes carriage, joining host Jenni Falconer in the newest episode of the hit travel podcast from LNER.

With more than 1.8 billion global streams to her name, Ella opens up about life on the move — from whirlwind world tours to nostalgic childhood holidays with her mum and the “Wild Bunch” of friends. The episode offers listeners a rare insight into the star’s roots, inspirations, and love of travel.

“I love being on the train, it’s my time to decompress and get stuff done,” Ella tells Jenni as they settle into their carriage. “And if I’ve got my dog Iggy with me, it’s even better, he’s my little travel buddy.”

Ella reflects on her adventurous early years, including trekking through the Atlas Mountains and sleeping under the stars in Morocco, before revisiting her whirlwind rise to fame with Rudimental and that unforgettable Brit Award moment. She also discusses how travel continues to fuel her creativity — from writing camps in Jamaica and Korea to finding tranquillity in the Scottish countryside.

“When I first started doing music, life was non-stop,” Ella says. “Now I make sure to slow down and really enjoy where I am — that’s when the magic happens.”

As ever, listeners can expect laughter, heartfelt reflection, and a few unexpected travel hacks — including Ella’s tour-bus essential: a microwaveable egg poacher.
