Points failure causes delays between Westbury and Salisbury
A points failure in the Salisbury area is disrupting rail services between Westbury railway station and Salisbury railway station.
Trains running through the affected section may be delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised while engineers work to resolve the issue. The fault is impacting services in both directions, leading to knock-on delays across the route.
Disruption is currently expected to continue until around 19.00.
Great Western Railway currently advise that if your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
South Western Railway have arranged a raft of ticket acceptance. For more information click here.
Passengers are being advised to check before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys, as services may be subject to short-notice changes.
