Detectives have issued an image as part of an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault at a central London Underground station earlier this month.

The incident happened at Sloane Square Underground station shortly before 2pm on Sunday 4 January. Police say a woman was sexually assaulted while passing a man on a stairway within the station.

Officers investigating the allegation are seeking to identify the man shown in the released image, believing he may be able to assist with enquiries. Detectives have stressed that they want to speak to him as part of their investigation.

British Transport Police are appealing to anyone who recognises the individual to come forward. Members of the public can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 600 of 5 January.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
