Police Release Images After £60,000 Jewellery Theft on York Train
Police are appealing for help to identify two men following the theft of a bag containing around £60,000 worth of jewellery from a train in York. Officers have released images as part of their investigation and are urging anyone who recognises the men to come forward.
The incident happened at about 4.15pm on Sunday, December 21, shortly after a service from London King’s Cross to Edinburgh arrived at York station. Police say the bag was taken from an overhead luggage rack before the suspects left the station.
British Transport Police believe the men pictured may have information that could assist enquiries into the theft. Investigators are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened on board the train or at the station around the time of the incident.
