Portsmouth rail chaos as trespassers halt all lines between Harbour and Hilsea

Train services on the line between Portsmouth Harbour railway station and Hilsea railway station have been brought to a standstill after reports of trespassers on the railway.

All lines in the affected section are currently blocked, leading to widespread disruption for passengers travelling through Portsmouth Harbour. Services may be cancelled, delayed or subject to last-minute changes as a result of the incident.

The disruption is expected to continue until at least 17:00, with rail operators working to resolve the situation and restore normal service as quickly as possible.

South Western Railway has confirmed that ticket acceptance is in place on a range of local bus services to help passengers complete their journeys. Travellers are being advised to check with individual bus operators before setting off.
