Ride Stress-Free This Holiday: Metrolink Offers $10 SoCal Day Pass
Metrolink is giving Southern Californians a chance to skip holiday traffic this year with a special offer for Christmas and New Year’s Day travel. On Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1, passengers can ride across the 545-mile, six-county network for just $10 with the SoCal Day Pass, which includes the Arrow service connecting San Bernardino and Redlands. The promotion provides an affordable and stress-free alternative to driving, whether heading to family gatherings or enjoying a holiday outing.
Trains will follow a weekend schedule on all lines during both holidays, with the exception of the Riverside Line, which does not operate on weekends or select holidays. Unlike previous years, there will be no early morning service for Tournament of Roses Parade attendees on New Year’s Day.
Metrolink has provided tips to ensure a smooth journey: the SoCal Day Pass can be purchased on the day of travel via the mobile app or at station ticket machines. Passengers are encouraged to check schedules in advance, sign up for Metrolink Alerts for real-time updates, and follow station signage and digital displays to reach the correct platform. Onboard announcements provide information on upcoming stops, and free transfers to many local transit agencies, including LA Metro, help with first- and last-mile connections.
With this offer, Metrolink aims to make holiday travel safer, easier, and more affordable, giving commuters and visitors alike a convenient way to navigate Southern California without battling congested roadways.
