Teenager arrested after threatening behaviour reported at Doncaster station

A teenage girl has been taken into custody following an incident at Doncaster railway station that prompted police intervention. Officers were called to the station to support British Transport Police after reports of threatening behaviour.

The arrest was carried out by officers from the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team during routine patrols in the city centre earlier in the day. The 17-year-old was detained on suspicion of making threats and was taken into police custody.

According to police, the incident is alleged to have taken place on a train service heading towards Doncaster, where train staff were reportedly subjected to threats. The situation led to officers attending the station to bring it under control.

A spokesperson for Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said:

“This morning, officers patrolling the city centre responded to an incident at Doncaster Railway Station to assist British Transport Police. A 17-year-old female has been arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and is now on the way to spend an afternoon in the cells. It is alleged that she made threats towards train staff on a service towards Doncaster.”
