The Carnivore Dinosaur Pack for Jurassic World Evolution was developed and published by Frontier Developments and released in 2019. It was released as a focused creature DLC intended to expand the game’s roster of predatory species and increase the management challenges for players running carnivore-heavy exhibits.

The pack adds three carnivorous dinosaurs: Herrerasaurus, a lithe Triassic-era predator with a narrow skull and serrated teeth; Acrocanthosaurus, a large, robust theropod notable for the high neural spines along its back; and Proceratosaurus, a smaller Middle Jurassic relative distinguished by a nasal crest and close evolutionary links to later large theropods. Each species was implemented with distinct animations, behaviours and care requirements that altered feeding, social and containment planning for parks.

Promotion for the Carnivore Dinosaur Pack used the game’s existing marketing channels, with the DLC announced and showcased through store listings, trailers, screenshots and developer posts that emphasised the new predator models and the additional gameplay tension they introduced. Messaging framed the pack as a content drop that would test park managers’ enclosure design, security and emergency response, while visual assets highlighted the new dinosaurs’ models and behaviours.

Player reception to the DLC was broadly positive, with users praising the added variety of carnivores, the visual quality of the models and the way the new species changed park dynamics and scenario design. Community feedback highlighted enjoyment of the new predator behaviours and the heightened management challenge they created, and the pack was generally regarded as a solid, well‑implemented addition to the game’s post‑launch content.
