Promotion for Jurassic World Evolution leaned heavily on its film licence and cinematic trailers that showcased both spectacle and systems, with launch marketing highlighting the ability to create iconic dinosaurs and dramatic park moments. Critical reception was mixed to positive: reviewers praised the visuals, dinosaur AI and satisfying core management loop while noting limitations in mission variety and some micromanagement issues. Player reception was stronger over time, bolstered by Frontier’s ongoing DLC support and community engagement, resulting in solid commercial performance and enough popularity to justify continued investment and a sequel.
