Motorsport Manager: Endurance Series

The Endurance Series DLC for Motorsport Manager was developed by Playsport Games and published by Miniclip, released in 2017. It was presented as a substantial gameplay expansion that shifted the franchise’s focus from sprint and standard-length events to long-distance endurance racing, adding new systems and rules designed to test long-term strategy and team management.

The DLC introduces two endurance championship classes, extended race lengths of 90 minutes, 3 hours and 6 hours, and a stamina bar to track driver alertness that forces driver changes and management of fatigue. It also expands team size rules to allow six drivers per team, implements average-lap qualifying where two drivers’ times are combined, and adds endurance-focused car models, new ERS options, rolling starts and the larger 24-car fields that create crowded, attrition-driven races.

Promotion for the Endurance Series emphasised the new scale and strategic depth it brought to Motorsport Manager, using store listings, trailers and developer communications to showcase epic race lengths, the tactical challenge of managing multiple drivers and stamina, and gameplay clips demonstrating pit strategies, driver rotations and night-long rivalries. Marketing framed the pack as a fresh way to play for existing fans who wanted grander, more tactical race weekends.

Reception was mixed-to-positive among players, with many praising the DLC for adding a compelling new layer of strategic complexity, memorable long-form races and systems that forced different managerial thinking compared with standard events. Criticisms in the community focused on balance issues, the steep learning curve introduced by the new mechanics and occasional technical or UI frustrations, but overall the Endurance Series was regarded as a meaningful and ambitious expansion that broadened the scope of the base game.
