Appeal launched after woman assaulted at Didcot railway station
Police are investigating an assault on a woman as she was leaving a railway station in Oxfordshire, which left her with visible injuries. The incident happened outside Didcot train station and has prompted an appeal for witnesses.
Thames Valley Police said the woman, who is in her 50s, was attacked at around 3.10pm on Thursday, January 15. Officers confirmed that the assault took place as she was exiting the station.
As a result of the incident, the victim sustained bruising and swelling to the back of her head, along with redness to her face, according to the force.
Appealing for information, the officer leading the investigation urged members of the public to come forward if they saw what happened or believe they can help identify a man connected to the inquiry.
Investigating officer PC Megan Toms said:
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this assault or has information that may assist us to please get in touch. If you recognise the man in the image, or if this is you, please contact us, as we think this person may have information to assist our investigation.”
