BTP Hunt Man After Woman Sexually Assaulted On Train From Northampton

British Transport Police detectives have issued an appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a train travelling from Northampton.

Officers have released an image of a man they want to identify as part of their investigation into the incident, which took place between 2pm and 3pm on Thursday 7 May.

According to BTP, the man got on the train at Northampton railway station before sexually assaulting a woman during the journey. He then left the service at Coventry.

Detectives believe the man may hold information that could help their enquiries. He has been described as walking with a distinctive limp.

Anyone who recognises him, or who has information that could assist the investigation, is being urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 485 of 7 May.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
