CCTV Appeal Over Sexual Assault on Liverpool–Wigan Service
Detectives investigating a reported sexual assault on a train travelling between Liverpool and Wigan have released an image of a man they would like to identify.
The incident is alleged to have taken place shortly before 10pm on Saturday 25 April, when a man was sexually assaulted while walking through a carriage on board the service.
British Transport Police officers believe the individual pictured may be able to assist with enquiries and are appealing to the public for help in identifying him.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2600053472. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
