A man has been fined after admitting to assault and drunken behaviour at a railway station in Merseyside.

Shivdath Mambro appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 21, where he accepted responsibility for the offences. The court heard that the incident took place at Earlestown railway station on November 24, 2025.

The 40-year-old pleaded guilty to assault by beating as well as being drunk and disorderly. During the incident, he assaulted another man at the station, prompting police involvement.

Mambro, who is of Water Street, Manchester, was ordered to pay a £120 fine. In addition, magistrates imposed £85 in costs payable to the Crown Prosecution Service.

No separate punishment was handed down for the drunk and disorderly offence, with the court choosing not to impose an additional penalty for that charge.
