Man Seriously Injured In Colindale Underground Platform Assault

British Transport Police detectives have issued an appeal after a man suffered serious injuries in an unprovoked attack at Colindale Underground station.

The incident happened at around 5.50pm on Monday 25 May while the victim was on the Tube platform looking at a map to plan his journey.

Police said a train arrived and a group of youths got off. As one of the group passed the victim, they kicked his heel.

When the victim challenged them, the situation escalated and the group began punching and kicking him.

The group then left the station. Members of the public gave first aid to the victim on the platform before he later attended hospital.

He was found to have suffered a broken nose and broken ribs.

Officers were called to the station and responded immediately. Four 15-year-olds, three girls and a boy, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

They currently remain on police bail.

Detectives have now released images of three people they want to speak to as part of the investigation.

Anyone who recognises them is being asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 563 of 25 May.
