Pret A Manger has opened a second outlet at Nottingham railway station, expanding the food and drink options available to passengers travelling through the busy transport hub.

The new shop is located on Platforms 5b and 6 and offers Pret’s range of freshly prepared food, snacks and drinks. The opening forms part of wider efforts to enhance the customer experience at the station and provide more choice for travellers.

Passengers will be able to purchase a selection of Pret’s well-known menu items, including freshly made sandwiches, salads, hot food, baked goods and snacks. Popular items such as the all-butter croissant, Chicken Caesar & Bacon Baguette and Posh Cheddar & Pickle Baguette will also be available.

Food at the shop will be prepared fresh throughout the day, giving commuters and visitors access to ready-to-eat meals made in-store. The outlet will also serve Pret’s range of organic coffees, teas and other hot and iced drinks prepared by trained baristas.

Customers will also be able to use the company’s Club Pret subscription service at the new location. The scheme offers subscribers 50 per cent off up to five barista-made hot or iced drinks per day for a monthly fee.

The addition of the new store follows growing passenger numbers at Nottingham station, which saw around 3.6 million journeys begin there last year.

Simon Pready, Commercial Director of East Midlands Railway, said:

"We’re delighted to welcome Pret A Manger to Nottingham railway station, further enhancing the range of freshly made food and organic coffee available to our customers. Pret is well known for its focus on handmade food prepared in shop kitchens throughout the day, and its commitment to sourcing quality ingredients makes it a natural fit for the busy station environment. With 3.6 million journeys taking place from Nottingham last year, the new shop opening on Platforms 5b and 6 will have plenty of opportunities to tempt customers with high-quality options, whether they’re commuting, travelling, or visiting the city. We’re proud to work with brands like Pret that share our focus on improving the overall customer experience, and we’re confident it will quickly become a popular addition to the station."
