Shrewsbury to Machynlleth Rail Line Closed Following Emergency Incident

Emergency services are responding to an incident between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth, with lines closed while they work safely at the scene.

The closure is affecting rail services between the two stations, with trains facing cancellations, delays or revised journeys.

Passengers travelling on the route are being advised to check before setting off and allow extra time while disruption continues.

Transport for Wales have confirmed that road transport is being sourced. Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

The disruption is expected to last until at least 18:30.
