Tragedy at North Ealing Station as Person Dies on Tracks During Evening Peak
Emergency services were called to a west London Underground station after a person was found on the tracks during the evening rush hour.
The incident happened at North Ealing Underground station at around 4.20pm on Monday (April 13). Officers from British Transport Police attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The incident had a significant impact on transport services, with both the District line and Piccadilly line experiencing severe delays during one of the busiest periods of the day.
Services were disrupted for several hours before returning to normal on Tuesday (April 14).
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said:
“Officers were called to North Ealing Underground station at 4.20pm on Monday 13 April following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
