Trains Stopped Between Redhill and Tonbridge Due To Trespasser on Tracks
Rail services through the Tonbridge railway station area are facing disruption this evening after a trespass incident forced the closure of all lines between Redhill railway station and Tonbridge.
Train services running through the affected section are currently being delayed or revised, with disruption expected to continue until around 21:30.
Rail officials said services have been stopped entirely because it is not considered safe to allow trains to pass the location while the individual remains near the railway.
Emergency services and Network Rail response teams are attending the scene to safely remove the person and reopen the line as quickly as possible.
Southern have posted the following on X:
There are trespassers on the railway between Redhill and Tonbridge. All lines are blocked between these stations until further notices and no trains will run.
Passengers travelling through the area are being advised to check live travel information before setting out as delays and alterations are expected to continue throughout the evening.
