Train travellers are facing delays and cancellations while urgent repairs are carried out on the track at Didcot Parkway. The fault has led to trains being diverted onto a different line through the area, affecting services between Oxford and Reading/London Paddington.

As a result, trains will not stop at Didcot Parkway in either direction, and fewer services will operate between Oxford and Didcot. Passengers are advised to plan ahead, as disruption is expected throughout the day.

GWR confirmed on X.com: “Due to urgent repairs to the track at Didcot Parkway: Train services running through this station will be cancelled, delayed or revised. Didcot Parkway will not be served. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”

Tickets for journeys between Didcot Parkway and Oxford can be used via Reading. They will also be accepted on CrossCountry services between Oxford and Reading in both directions, providing alternatives for affected passengers.
