British Transport Police have issued an appeal to identify two men following the theft of luggage worth thousands of pounds at St Pancras International.

Investigators have released CCTV images of individuals they believe could assist with enquiries into the incident, which took place during the busy morning period at the central London station.

Police say that at around 9.45am on Saturday 27 December 2025, a man approached a woman and claimed there was paint on her coat. While he helped her try to remove it, officers believe the distraction was used to facilitate a theft.

During this interaction, a second man is alleged to have taken the woman’s suitcase and handbag, with the combined value of the stolen items estimated at more than £8,000.

BTP officers are now asking the public to help identify the men shown in the CCTV images, as they may have information that could prove vital to the investigation.

Anyone who recognises them is urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 83 of 27 December. Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
