Crewe to Wilmslow Line Blocked as Emergency Track Work Disrupts Services

Urgent track repairs between Crewe and Wilmslow are causing disruption, with the line towards Wilmslow currently blocked.

Trains running between Crewe and Wilmslow may be revised, diverted via Stoke-on-Trent or delayed by up to 20 minutes while the work is carried out.

The disruption may affect services operated by Avanti West Coast, Northern and Transport for Wales.

Disruption is expected to continue until 13:00.

Passengers are being advised to check with their train operator or use the National Rail online journey planner before travelling.

Customers who are delayed in completing their journey may also be entitled to compensation.
