Elizabeth Line Passengers Hit By Overhead Line Incident Near Shenfield
Rail passengers are facing disruption between Gidea Park and Shenfield after an object became caught in the overhead line equipment.
The incident means some lines are blocked, with trains running between the two stations at risk of delay, cancellation or short-notice changes.
Transport for London has confirmed that ticket acceptance is in place until further notice to help passengers complete their journeys.
Tickets can be used at no extra cost on the following services:
• London Buses and Local buses via any reasonable route
• c2c via any reasonable route
• London Underground via any reasonable route
• Greater Anglia via any reasonable route
Passengers have been warned that these alternative arrangements may be withdrawn at short notice.
Anyone planning to travel through the area is advised to check their journey before setting off using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.
Disruption is expected to continue until 21:30.
