Leicester Station Cycle Hub Targeted as Bikes Worth £2,000 Stolen

British Transport Police have issued an appeal after two bikes with a combined value of £2,000 were stolen from Leicester railway station.

The theft happened at around 3pm on Thursday 26 March, when a man went into the station’s cycle hub and started looking for bikes to take.

Officers said one unlocked bike was taken before the lock was ripped from another bike. The man then left the cycle hub.

Investigators have released an image of a man they want to speak to, as they believe he may have information that could assist their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2600039406.
