Lines Blocked at Sowerby Bridge After Passengers Cause Disturbance
All lines have reopened following an earlier disturbance involving passengers on a train at Sowerby Bridge, although disruption is continuing while services recover.
British Transport Police were called to deal with the incident, which had affected trains running between Brighouse / Halifax and Hebden Bridge.
Although the lines are now open again, passengers may still face revised services or delays of up to 45 minutes as the timetable returns to normal.
Northern services were affected between York / Leeds and Blackpool North, along with trains between Leeds and Manchester Victoria / Wigan Wallgate / Blackburn.
TransPennine Express services were also impacted, including routes between Scarborough / Redcar Central and Manchester Victoria, and between Newcastle and Liverpool Lime Street.
Disruption is still expected to continue until 22:00.
