Lines Reopen Between Stourbridge and Kidderminster After Emergency Incident
Rail services between Stourbridge Junction and Kidderminster are running again after emergency crews finished dealing with an earlier incident on the line. The reopening of the route means trains are once more able to operate across all tracks in the area.
However, passengers are being warned that services have not yet returned to normal. Delays of up to 40 minutes are still possible, and some journeys may be altered as operators work to restore the timetable. Disruption is expected to continue until at least 19:00.
During the recovery period, West Midlands Railway has confirmed that ticket holders can use alternative transport at no additional cost. This includes National Express West Midlands bus services between Solihull and Birmingham Snow Hill, as well as between Birmingham Snow Hill and Stourbridge Junction.
Travellers are advised that ticket acceptance and other contingency arrangements may be amended at short notice. Passengers should check with their train operator before setting out to ensure they have the latest information.
