Person dies after being struck by Victoria line train at Seven Sisters
A fatal incident has taken place at Seven Sisters Underground station after a person was struck by a Victoria line train.
Emergency services were called to the station shortly after 3pm on Sunday, February 2, following reports of a person on the tracks. The London Ambulance Service said it mobilised multiple teams to respond to the incident.
An ambulance crew, an incident response officer, paramedics in fast response cars and specialist staff from the hazardous area response team were all sent to the scene. Despite their efforts, the person was pronounced dead at the station.
British Transport Police confirmed officers attended alongside paramedics and said the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 3.01pm today (2 February) to reports of a person on the tracks at Seven Sisters Underground Station, N15. We sent resources including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, paramedics in fast response cars and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (HART). Very sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said:
“We were called to Seven Sisters Underground station at 3.01pm on 2 February to reports of a casualty on the tracks. Officers and paramedics attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
