Police release images after sexual assault on Nottingham to Sheffield train
Detectives have issued images as part of an investigation into a sexual assault on a train travelling between Nottingham and Sheffield.
The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Sunday 12 April, when a woman was subjected to sexualised remarks before being assaulted by a man standing behind her on board the service.
Following the incident, the man is reported to have left the train at Alfreton.
Officers from the British Transport Police believe the individual shown in the released images may have information that could assist their enquiries and are appealing to the public for help in identifying him.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 689 of 12 April. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
