Rail delays hit London commuters after emergency incident near Elephant & Castle

Emergency services are dealing with an incident near the railway at Elephant & Castle railway station, causing disruption to services through the area.

Trains running between London Bridge railway station and Loughborough Junction railway station may be delayed as a result, with all lines affected while the situation is managed.

Passengers are being advised that disruption is expected to continue until at least 19:45. Delays of up to 15 minutes are currently anticipated for services passing through the route.

Despite the incident, travellers are being told to continue using their planned journeys, as trains are still operating, albeit with minor delays.

Passengers should check before travelling, as further changes may occur at short notice while normal service resumes.
